Damask Thank You Card
Since my shower is probably coming up soon, I decided to start thinking about my Thank You notes. I searched a bit for a damask thank you card, but then I decided to keep my theme going and just create one to match my other stationary. I ordered 100 free post cards from Vista Print with my uploaded design. I'm guessing I could have used the same design on a note card from Vista Print, but I'm trying to be as economical as possible at this point, so post cards seemed better. I think they look great and I can't wait to start writing them out.

Damask Pocketfold Invitations
Here's my first mock-up. I ordered the pocketfolds and invitation backing from cardsandpockets.com. I designed the invitation and inserts with Photoshop. I wanted to bring in the damask print that I'm using on my table runners.
I think they came out great, but I'm looking forward to actually printing them on metallic cardstock. The invitation and inserts for the mock-up where just printed on regular paper. It's hard to tell from the photo, but the pocketfold is a metallic onyx and the invitation backing is metallic fushia.
I downloaded the script font for free from http://weddings.shanbritedesigns.com/templates.htm. It's the Bickham Script Fancy font, but I only used it for the captial letters. The lowercase script is Bickham Script Pro, which came with my version of Photoshop.

Damask Save the Date Postcards
I got my postcards from VistaPrint yesterday. I was so excited to open them up, but to my surprise... I was severely disappointed. The design that I had picked wasn't as crisp and colorful as I had hoped. It was actually really dull. So since their postcards are always free, I decided to expand my photoshop skills and come up with a design that would incorporate my damask fabric. This is the design I came up with and I'm so happy how it turned out. I'm hoping to use the damask bars on most of my stationary to keep the damask theme going.

Damask Stickers
I should be sending out my Save the Dates by the end of this month. I ordered 100 free postcards from VistaPrint and just chose one of their designs.
I probably should have done something a little more to carry out my damask theme, but everyone makes mistakes. In order to correct my error, I decided to look for damask stickers to seal my envelopes with. My web search brought me to Zazzle and that's where I modified one of their damask stickers to incorporate my colors. Now I don't feel too bad that I neglected my damask theme on our Save the Dates.

First Post
By the title of this blog, you can tell I'm a damask bride. If you don't know what a damask bride is, then I suggest you google "Damask Wedding". I fell in love with the damask theme after months of looking at wedding photos on the web. Here's the photo and blog that started my madness:I picked hot pink as my accent color and I'll incorporate that into my cenpieces. I plan on making my own damask table runners with the Michael Miller Dandy Damask fabric in black and white. That will be my first major DIY project.
